Why a base fee and a percent.

Pure SaaS pricing punishes small shops; pure rev-share punishes big ones. Hybrid pricing fits the way independent retail actually works — predictable monthly costs, plus a small share of the upside we help create.

The base covers cost-to-serve

Hosting, delivery routing, payment infra, and the human onboarding call don't scale to zero. The base fee keeps lights on, even for your slowest months.

The percent captures the upside

We only take a slice of recurring sales — the bags that come back month after month because Kibble is doing its job. One-off purchases are free.

The percent drops as you scale

Bigger stores already pay more in absolute dollars — so the rate steps down at Growth and Premium. We never want pricing to be a reason to leave.

What counts as "recurring sales"?

Any order placed on a repeat cadence through Kibble — auto-ship, subscription, or scheduled delivery. One-off shelf purchases aren't included in the percent.

Are payment processing fees on top?

The percent on each tier is all-in: it bundles Kibble's platform fee (1–2%) with Stripe's standard processing (2.9% + 30¢). One number, no surprises on the invoice.

Can I switch tiers later?

Yes — toggle from your dashboard any time. Upgrades take effect the same day; downgrades roll over at the next billing date.

Is there a contract or setup fee?

No contract, month-to-month. Setup is free and takes about a Tuesday afternoon — we mirror your top 20 SKUs from a spreadsheet.

What happens with third-party delivery costs?

Carrier fees (Uber Direct, DoorDash Drive, Roadie) pass through at the carrier's quoted rate. You pick the markup you charge customers.

Do you take a cut of one-off store purchases?

Never. Kibble's percent only applies to recurring orders booked through the platform. Foot-traffic and à-la-carte sales stay 100% yours.
